Long time out of commission, but I return for a moment...
Well, I'm a goddamned drunk! I finally ran out of money & had to stop and realized I went a solid 40 days with no-non drinking days. Lush. It was fun.
Tucson...what can I say about Tucson? Here's slow country song #1:
I been drunk ever since I hit this town
The desert's given me an awful thirst
I'll keep on drinking until I run out of cash
Or Jim kicks me out, which often happens first
Chorus:
Hello Mr. Cox, may I buy you a beer?
Can I bum another cigarette?
I often think that I'll be gone before last call
But I'm afraid I must admit, this hasn't happened yet
I'm not quite sure what brought me here
But I like it better than where I was
Some folks prefer the bigger city scene
They can keep their fucking techno and their chic designer drugs.
I been living on liquor rock and girls
Ever since I came into this town
It's quite a fine life in this dusty desert town
As we've made it last call, Jim let's have another round.

Hmmm, where was I...I've been writing murder ballads, drunken songs, post-vietnam stress murder ballads, and a number of terrific weepers, as well as straight out love songs. Life is good.
I will, however, have to start working soon. This is OK, three months off is pretty good.
Love to all of you fine people out there.
