at work, a good friend of ours suffered a great loss- the tragic passing of his very close friend, justin strzelczyk... he was also close to the family i work for (especially the original owner- but now they are together, playing pranks on each other once again)... i was fortunate enough to meet, hang out and talk to him several times... the "gentle giant" (the first time i talked to him, i joked about his size, and we compared hands, just one finger of his was almost the size of my entire hand!... i even had to stand next to him- my 5'4, then 110lb body standing next to him was such a funny site!) was one of the nicest guys i ever met- he was a teddy bear inside that enormous body.... he loved to just sit and talk about anything and everything.... for the longest time i only knew him as "justin", just an everyday friend of my boss who would stop in to visit occasionally... it wasnt until about a year or so later, right before the last time i talked to him, that he was justin strzelczyk... but that didnt change anything, i still thought of him as justin- the cool, intelligent, fun guy who my boss and everyone he talked to just adored for his wonderful manners and awesome personality....
we sat around when noone was in the bar and talked about all the fun times and great memories we had and still will have, especially our memories of him and our former boss (i know you two will have a great time reuniting...)....
my best wishes and thoughts go out to his family, friends, and those who were fortunate enough to meet the nice man who gave to his community though charities, etc....
justin, no matter what, i will always remember you as that giant fun-loving teddy bear who made sure we always had a good time when you were around....
