Ironically, I'm listening to Saturday Morning right now by the Eels and thinking about Saturday morning (yesterday). I woke up at 7:30am to NPR singing about breakfast cereals. My first thought was literally "what the fuck?" The rest of the day was ahead of me, and new adventures were sure to take place...
I went into town around 8:45am and headed to the farmer's market. Because the weather was superb, there were a lot of people there pretty early in the festivities. I purchased a bag of cherries and saw a girl I went to school with in Portland who just happened to be in Missoula for no reason. After, Sarah and I went and had french toast at Food For Thought, which is my new favorite breakfast restaurant. I saw a fantastic piece of artwork there that I really really really want, but don't have $160 dollars I can put down right now.
At around 2pm is when the fun began. Eight of us decided to go float the Blackfoot River. Now, I used to have this giant fear of rivers (especially rapids), but I was going to brave it. I must say, it was mighty fun. Even the rapids weren't that bad (although there were times I was holding on to my innertube and Sarah's hand thinking I was going to die). I do have to say that four to five hours is a bit long, especially with a group that big: trying to paddle yourself to the others is a big pain in the ass. Because of that, I have a nice rash on my arms and my entire upper body hurts like a bitch. But yes, it was fun.
Today, one of the baby chickens layed it's first egg. It is very exciting!
