i'm excited because i might be getting a new kitty soon. last sunday rob and i went to petsmart where they have the kitty adoptions, and i always like to look at prospective kitties. well there was this one, a beautiful calico who was so incredibly sweet, licking my fingers and rubbing her face against the glass, and she reminded me a lot of my best friend and cat that i grew up with that passed away last december. she reminded me of my old cat so much that i was practically crying while i was touching her. i couldn't resist her, so i put in an application for her.

well a lady called me at work yesterday and asked me a few questions, and she said she thought i sounded perfect and she wants me to have the cat, but i have to show them proof that my first cat, salem, is up-to-date on her vaccinations before i can have her. this is kinda dumb to me because we're sort of broke right now and rob's going out of his way to get this cat for me anyway because he knows i want her so bad, and while i wouldn't hesitate to take salem to the vet if she were sick or something, i hate the idea of taking her when there's really nothing wrong. but i guess it wouldn't hurt anything to get her updated on shots, and maybe i can find a low-cost clinic around here.

i wonder what to name my new kitty??
