Thanks everyone for your well wishes during my search for the missing Ophelia!! I did in fact find her, curled up blissfully in the back of my old bass amp, crammed under my bed in the very back of the very carefully wedged tetris-packed boxes that take residence there. I tore my entire house apart; every box, bag, carton and shelf, and I actually only happened on her by accident doing my third pass!! Tricky little bitch. I'm sooo glad to have her home again.... I had about 3 hysterical fits that day, because I just couldn't believe that *I* would be that careless as to not properly weigh down the cage top, after spending so many years carefully advising people to do so. Situational irony sucks. Anyway, once in almost a decade isn't bad odds, right?? Needless to say there's about 30 lbs worth of old textbooks on her lid at the moment.

So the first day I am out of bed and actually semi-alert in 3 days (damned debilitating percocet), it's pouring. WAH! I wanted to rake the giant layer of leaves off of our front yard, and clean my disgusting car!! Instead I guess I am going to clean the house, since it is also sorely in need. OHHH domestic bliss!! Maybe I'll make some lovely cookies. Anyone want to come make rainy day cookies????
