A missed connection I'm about to post:


Timid bard seeks adventure with enchanting mage

You: I saw you along the path through Blacken Oak forest. You were handsome, tall and dark. You were carrying an old gnarled staff and a worn backpack. I could tell by the way your cloak seemed to float around you, that you must be magical.

Me: Being less of a confrontational class, I was nearby hiding in a tree, idly thumbing the strings of my trusty lute, and listening to the songs of the forest, safe from the dangers you were about to face.

I watched you dispatch a party of goblins, your ornamented robes flowing around your graceful form, as magic missiles and fireballs flew from your skilled hands, burning the beasts to a crisp. It was enchanting. I could write songs and verse in honor of your skill and bravery for as long as the moons hang in the night sky.

I want to be there, to lift your spirits, to ease your mind, and to heal your wounds with the power of song. You've cast a spell on my heart, and I'd give all of the treasure, in every dungeon in the land to see you again. Let's level up together.
