I'm back.
I think I'm done going to Singapore for a while. 6 trips halfway 'round the world in 2 years is more than enough for me.
Good news is that I'm going to use the frequent flyer miles to send me, my wife, and my Mom to Paris. I'm not sure when yet.
The most interesting thing about spending 3 weeks so far from the US is the news. Totally different spin and focus. It was humbling to be so close to both the disasters in Myanmar and China. <sad> What was said about those disasters here? Friday, weeks after the Myanmar disaster, The Strait Times (Singapore's local paper) had the first three pages devoted to the coverage. I wouldn't be surprised of the final death toll gets close to 1 million. That's just staggering.
don't know what else to say...

The disasters were so overwhelming and upsetting- I know our news isn't even giving us the half of it and there was nothing I could do to help- I hate that..
