Okay. Here's my review of X3. The first section is going to be kinda general. And I'll spoiler the second section with specifics.

I liked the movie as a whole. But it wasn't near the caliber of the first two. The plot, as given away by the comercials, is that a drug company uses a mutant that drains powers as a source for a 'cure' to mutants; the classic X-Men plot of mutant hatred verses Magneto. Wolverine is the true main character in this movie. With Storm seemingly second. And then (in order) Jean Grey, Magneto, Prof. X, Bobby, Beast, Kitty, Rogue, Pyro, Juggernaut, and then a HUGE number of others. So many, in fact, that none of the characters had enough focus or time to give them life and development. The action sequences were interesting. And some of the visuals were amazing. But no real substance.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I will say, I loved the way they had Jean look as Phoenix. The bright red hair with the black eyes looked really cool. But I didn't like the 'mental' battle with Prof. X...I stare at you...I stare harder...I stare even harder...
There was a TON of deaths in this one. WOW. What was with that? But I really didn't care about any of them. I cared a little about Prof. X. But none of the others moved me at all. We didn't really see Scott die. Jean was just a strained automaton throughout the movie. And the rest were just side characters or extras. BTW, what was with Spike being randomly thrown in as in the Brotherhood and on par (almost) with Wolverine?
I think the main beef I had with this movie is that it beat you over the head with the plot for the first half of the movie. And then concentrated on the action and special effects for the second half. Without giving time to the characters. The love triangle with Rogue, Bobby, and Kitty could have either been given more, or dropped. Kitty and Colossus joining the main group wasn't really explained. They added interesting special effects, but again, no substance. And the movie relied heavily on the character development from the previous movies, but those two only had cameos in the first two movies. And the characters with no development at all were two numerous to list. Even Beast's background was like, 'I'm blue, I knew the X-Men, I'm a diplomat who kicks butt.'

In short: I liked it, but not as much as the first two. Visuals and special effects tried to be cool, but weren't as good as the first two. Fights weren't as fun. And most of all, they needed to develop the characters more. It felt a lot like the last game of a peewee football game, "Let's see, who haven't we used yet, how many can we put in? Are you sure we can't fit in Longshot? What about the Blob?"

I never liked that they basically merged the charactors of Jubilee and Rogue...I mean, what the christ is that all about??? Nobody seems to be bothered by that other than me, possibly because people found Jubilee "irritating" for always hanging around the older members and tagging along, needing her ass saved etc....But still....I miss her, they wiped her out of the plot altogether...Also, i didn't like.."I'm the Juggernaut, Biatch!!!" COME on...That stupid online joke, LAME AND WHERE THE HELL IS REMY???? He is my animated boyfriend...The 3 movies were all very un accurate and didn't do the series justice, but they did a good job casting Xavier with Patrick Stewart, I always imagined Xavier to look and act just like him. Ah, well. They did one thing right....And Beast and Storm were O.K. But what the hell, were all those tattoo'd mutanats suppposed to be the morlocks, or no? Sorry, need someone to complain to...
