I'm Back!!!!
Okay, so a lot has happened since my last journal entry, so I'm going to have to only touch on everything.
The day before I left, brankauti's car died. So, I got her at her work. I packed my bags. Said goodbye to Ceylon and brankauti. And hopped on an airplane. That night I got a phone call from bran...she brought Ceylon to the vet and they put her down. ( doesn't begin to cover it ) I didn't get to really say goodbye. I was expecting to see her when I got back. Apparantly, in the hours that I was gone, she took a hard turn for the worst. I haven't gotten to mourn her yet. I plan on spending a little time by her grave later. :weep:
So, on the third day I get another call. The long rains have taken their toll. Water is streaming through the ceiling into the office. I don't have the money for this. <pulls out pockets on moths fly around> I was hoping the roof would hold out until April, when I will get a nice little lump sum from a retirement cashing out. AAARRRRGGGH! Well, maybe I can get a loan. I may have to put all this on credit card and then pay it off with a home equity loan. I hate all this crap.
I so went exploring in Indy on Saturday (the 15th). Beautiful city. Many of the buildings are limestone, not surprisingly. Indiana is where most of the limestone comes from. And around every corner there's a monument or sculpture. And the streets were all clean. There's a neat canal that is treated like a street. It's flanked by sidewalks and buildings. I have some pictures that I'll post in a few. I'd like living there, I think. The racial divide was apparent. And even at the SGB show, I was the only mohawk in the place. But I get ahead of myself.
So, on Tuesday I realized that the coming weeks were probably the only time that it would be socially acceptable (expected even) for me to have mohawk. (I work for the Navy and might just lose my job if I did it at any other time) But in this case, I was going to an SGB show that night and then the next week going on a cruise with the APT (Association of Professional Tattooists). So I got one of the guys to bring his clippers out on the boat. And when we had a little down time, he shaved me a mohawk. He screwed up a little. There's a bald spot in the back but, oh well. I think it looks pretty good. I'll post pictures of that too. All my coworkers thought it was funny/cool. They got used to it right away.
I dragged a bunch of my coworkers to the SGB show in Indy. We all had a lot of fun!!!! I'd go again in a heartbeat. The Vogue Theater is a nice place. The opening band was fun. I bought one of their CDs.
I'll try not to give away any of their surprises. But here's my SGB award show.
Best Actress/Performer: Fanny
SG I thought was taller: Nixon
Best boobs: Chloe
Best peircings: Odette
SG who needed a hug: Reagan
Friendliest after the show: Fanny
Best use of electrical nipple tape: Odette
Best body: The new SG (I forgot her name) or Chloe I'm getting them mixed up in my memory
Best single performance: Reagan
Most attitude: Nixon
Best overall: Reagan
After the show Reagan, Fanny, and Fractal signed a pair of panties for brankauti. And Nixon, Fanny, Chloe, and the new girl signed my head. I have pictures of that too.
We pulled a screamer on the way home. One of the guys was passed out in the back. I slammed on the brakes and the four guys not passed out screamed. The passed out guy stirred, eyes opened wide, put out a hand, and promptly passed out again. We all laughed for a bit. Then, when out laughter died down, there was a little giggle from the passed out guy. LOL We all laughed like idiots (including the passed out giggles) for a long while.
The next few days were uneventful. I decided to wear a hat in public. It was just too annoying dealing with all the looks.
That's it for now.

As promised.
More in my pics. And more to come.
Update: Wilma cancelled our trip. No cruise for us.
I guess we'll be taking a rainy week off. Maybe drive somewhere. Any suggestions?
