I'm seeing live music for the first time in almost a year and a half! This is paramount for my state of mental health. When everything came to a screeching halt back in March of 2020, I had plans to see so many shows. As the year moved forward, it seemed like we were going to be screwed when it came to live music.
Not anymore.
Lollapalooza happened and so many people were there. NOW, whether or not they were vaccinated against the COVID virus is another story. Fingers crossed that they were, or at least 4 out of 5 people were, and we don't hear of any horror stories. The same applies to those hitting Sturgis. As for me, I'm proudly vaccinated and ready to get back on track.
My concert calendar for the year, so far, looks damn good:
8/14 - ZZ Top
8/16 - Deicide
8/22 - Rise Against, Descendents, The Menzingers
9/11 - REO Speedwagon, providing they haven't canceled their tour due to someone in the band contracting COVID.
9/12 - Terror
9/13 - Andrew W.K.
9/24 - Madball, Lionheart
10/24 - D.R.I.
10/26 - Thrice
11/3 - Teenage Bottlerocket
11/22 - Bad Religion / Alkaline Trio
11/26 - Napalm Death / eyehategod
12/10 - 11 - Every Time I Die
There will be more shows added in between these dates but these are what's on my mind for now.
Are you going to any shows in the near future?
