So soon I will be heading back in to get the Jim Lee Batman inspired tattoo shaded and colored in but I keep finding myself wanted to add one more octopus somewhere. The one on my left forearm is pretty epic, I almost cried when I saw the finished work, but my passion for the ocean, diving and my nautical heritage has me thinking hell lets do more. I'm leaning towards another vintage / classic octopus image on the left or right side of my neck and having the tentacles reaching down and around the neck. Nothing too large as most octopus are actually smaller than an adult hand but something large enough to appreciate the amazing work my artist does. Still leaning towards black and gray as we did with the left forearm and the tattoo I'd prefer to be inspired by the old natural history book images from the 16th and 17th century. I know they aren't accurate renderings of the octopus as most people had never seen them in this time frame but the art appeals to me.
