For the 3 of you who actually read my blog, sorry for the lack of recent updates. I was in Altoona, PA, then Charlotte, NC, Chicago for 2 weeks, and now I'm finally home for a few days. One more weekend of road races in NYC on Saturday and Binghamton, NY on Sunday, and then I'm taking my first real vacation in years. No bike, no computer, maybe even no phone. Just me and Bailey in Montreal.
We're going Wednesday-Saturday, and pretty much all we have planned so far is:
-Strip joint
-fascist vegan restaurant that makes you pay extra if you don't finish, and bans you for life if you don't eat your dessert
-insectarium
-sex shop
We tried to make tattoo appointments for while we were there, but no one answered my e-mails. Bailey asked me in a worried voice the other night, "Are we even going to leave the hotel room?"
I like Montreal a lot, because it's only 5 hours away but you feel like you're on another continent. Although my French is so bad that I don't even try when I'm there. At least thre French will answer me in French and be happy I'm making an effort. The Quebexicans are like, "hmmph. Americain!"
If anyone has any suggestions for shit we should do or see, let me know. Usually I'm there for a race and only get to see the hotel and the wheel of the rider in front of me.
