I got into the Self-Employment program I applied and interviewed for back in December...
This is SUCH good news, you have NO idea!!!
Basically, it is a government-sponsored program, to help kick-start small businesses - they give you a basic monthly income, so you don't have to worry about paying bills, and then they give you 6 weeks of training and a full year of support to aid in developing/expanding your business! They want you making money, so anything you make on top of what they give you you get to keep. (not like other social assistance type programs, where they make deductions).
This is going to be so fucking great, finally I get the opportunity to focus on my business, without having to take on shit projects just to pay rent!!! Professional development, here I come!

Things are definitely on the upswing, in both my professional and personal life... Let's just hope they stay that way!!!
