I've decided to try to learn how to make whips, I'm nearly done with my first attempt and I think it's coming out quite nicely. Its a 3 foot long "snake whip" which means it has no rigid handle like a bull whip would have, I'm making this one and probably my next one out of 550-cord (better known as para-cord) until I'm sure that the successful outcome is not just a fluke. Then I will make the attempt to repeat the process with leather and see how things turn out. If all goes well I will have a new hobby and possibly even a hand made product to market for some extra spending money. :) Pictures to follow upon completion of the first product, but before I can finish I have to go buy a "lacing needle" so I can actually do the job right.

The craft stores aren't open yet, it's still too early to get the lacing needle :/ but it should be a very short process to finish the whip once that purchase is made.
