Just realized that I haven't done a new blog in quite a while now.
First and foremost the St. Jude charity event was a huge success, and a lot of fun too. It was coupled with the Bonney Lake, WA Warrior Dash, (5k mud run and obstacle course) lots of participants, lots of funds raised for St. Jude, lots of fun had by all. The friends that I did the run with were all talking big about sticking together through the whole thing before we started our run, but once it started all that talk seemed to go away and none of us managed to stick together at all... oh well, it was still fun, I finished in 40 minutes, running at a very leisurely pace, maybe next year I'll push harder and do better, but this year was just to have fun and raise money for the kids while I was at it.
Then through a very intertwined series of events I ended up with 4 nights in a row of 2 hours of sleep or less, the last night of that being the night my house mate thought he saw someone on the roof, investigated, found no one and broke his ankle when he jumped to the ground.
Midnight ER visit here we come.
Thankfully the next day he, his gf, and her daughter were all at the hospital in Seattle and didn't need anything from me, so after I got off work I basically slept until I had to go back to work... oh what a glorious feeling it was to be rested again.
