I have completed my first hand made para-cord whip. Once again a little shout out to @doomcookiephoto who requested to see pictures of the completed implement.

Again this is my first attempt at making a whip.

I decided to start small with a 3 foot, 12 plait, 3 color, snake whip.

In the case of this whip the length is measured from the heel of

@deerail21 first of all that is AWESOME and convenient, but yes I'm more of a....multiple tails flogger, wide paddle, riding crop kind of person yes

@doomcookiephoto  Normally so am I. I've just decided to expand my knowledge base a little, and I figured why not learn how to make this new toy while I'm at it.

I spent over an hour scouring each of the two local craft stores for the lacing needle that I need in order to finish my first whip with no luck, so I had to resort to ordering one from Amazon, it should be here in about a week :/ but in the mean time here is a picture of what I have so far.

I almost forgot to mention, @doomcookiephoto wanted to see pictures, and I picked up more para-cord while I was out and about. 100 feet (30.5 meters) each of 5 different colors, though I expect that to go rather quick being as this little 3 footer takes about 120 feet (36.5 meters) of para-cord to complete.

The bathroom project continues in the finer details. Sunday was a very productive day, I was able to mount the handles on the drawers, cabinet doors and the tip-out trays, as well as hang some shelves in the corner, and add a second drawer box to the two deep-well drawers to add storage space for additional smaller items that would be likely to get lost among the larger items.

I've decided to try to learn how to make whips, I'm nearly done with my first attempt and I think it's coming out quite nicely. Its a 3 foot long "snake whip" which means it has no rigid handle like a bull whip would have, I'm making this one and probably my next one out of 550-cord (better known as para-cord) until I'm sure that...

The craft stores aren't open yet, it's still too early to get the lacing needle :/ but it should be a very short process to finish the whip once that purchase is made.

Here's a little sample of what my free time and extra spending money has been over taken with for the last two months. Thankfully it is all but done now, just a few finishing touches and its there. In the first picture I failed to capture the crop out on the sub-floor which was basically the entire area that you see in the second picture. I had to wait two weeks from the time of the first picture before I could start putting everything back together to make sure all the existing materials were completely dry before installing the new matterials. The floor itself ended up being a 4 day evolution once the install process began, which of course was Labor Day Weekend. Day 1 was patch the floor joists and the sub-floor, and apply the latex sealent, which required 24 hours cure time. Day 2 was reframe the walls, and mortar, place and anchor the cement board, which also required 24 hours to cure. Day 3 was mock up, cut to shape and mortar the tiles in place which, you guessed it, also took 24 hours to cure. Day 4 was grout between the tiles which actually took 7 days to fully cure, 24 hours cure time prior to be ready for foot traffic. Surprisingly the trickiest thing that I had to figure out was how to re-position the toilet, being as the back of it use to be against the wall that is currently to its left and facing the wall to the right. The thing that surprised me the most upon reaching my current point in the whole project was the fact that the bathroom actually feels bigger than it did before, even though the new cabinets, counter and mirrors actually take up more area than the old ones did. UPDATE!! As you can see, I've gotten the cabinet handles on all the drawers, doors and tip out trays, as well as hung a few more glass shelves, and even added a second drawer box to the two larger drawers to add storage space for smallers things so they don't get lost in the larger drawers.

That feeling when you ask your housemate for help to keep something from breaking again by just being more attentive and they respond by telling you to spend more money on non-vital shit so that they can be more lazy than they already are about the things you pay for...
