Right this moment, I'm at home - in my home. Not the Melbourne one, but the huge and lovely Daylesford one. It sounds trite, but my father built it with his bare hands, using power tools as a sort of vector-of-constructions. We got builder guys for the roof, but it's illegal not to do so, and a transgression would be riight up there with splitting infinitives. As you can see, ours is a family that follows the rules.
Just polished off Foundation, and I'm well and truly into Norweigan Wood, which contains some of the funnest writing ever. '(the mattresses) would give off odours beyond redemption'. Eee!
In all honesty, I reckon I belted through Foundation a little too quick-smart like, and missed a lot of the important goings on. It gets another going-over once I've polished off the current Murakami thing, plus maybe Ulysses, which I've never read... which is to my enduring shame, and will be even after I've read it.
I've almost worked up the nerve to start playing Ikaruga again. I was well into it when something fairly horrid happened, and after than, playing it at all would kinda remind me, and I'd turn retarded in an instant. I bet I can do it now, although I expect my previously mad and l337 skills to have diminished more than a bit.
