also they brought me potato cakes. Though en-route to coldness, they were still very tasty. I love it when people bring me food unannounced - no matter how not-hungry I might be.
I... also know exactly what I'm going to write next. It's an indescribable feeling, and if I could just now bring my vocabulary to bear: it's 'nice'. I've never really done anything longer than around 10k words, so this is going to be a real test on whether I can slow down plot progression and let some depth of character creep in. Story of my life

Ah, and a note for my... two or three loyal readers. NEVER underestimate the heat capacity of stir-through pasta sauce that's been in the fridge. It can easily cool an entire bowl of pasta to non-cheese-melting levels.
