Thanks for the support on my last post

Everything went good!

It seems that humans can live without stomach. The tumor had invaded all the stomach, and part of the esophagus. So they took off the stomach and that part of esophagus. Then with some medical electrician connection they connected the esophagus with intestine. It seems that intestine can slowly get used to to the functions stomach does.

Now he's in the uci, first day I saw him he was deeply sleeping. Yesterday he was awake. The pins and needles run through all my body. Never thought seeing someone opening his eyes could be so gratifying.

He even started to talk, with tubes everywhere. Woke up in good sense of humour and was funny to see how confused he was with time/hours and so. The doctor had to come and told him not to speak that much, cause he could hurt his throat haha.

And while all of this may sound terrible, those are good news compared to the surgery it was supposed to be at first term.

Now everything's about patiente. Some days to have him back to a hospital room (not uci), then some days to come back home... and some (weeks?) to start eating something normal. Then maybe chemotherapy and in few months (hopefully less!!) everything will be back to normality.
