OK,
I haven't gotten much sleep lately, and it's predominantly work-related. Three jobs is enough to kill the average human. I am definitely the average human.
This Phil-thing is bizarre.
I think he really likes me as a person. He's paying me 10/hr, which is big in KS, and took me out to his little(very tiny) lake-area, and told me that I could come out whenever I wanted to. He said he would be willing to talk to Ellie about getting her to sell me the truck she never uses. He once walked twelve miles to experience time differently. He gives me coffee.
I like him... BUT
He's an antique-collector. That's alright. He's got quirky things up and framed, like people on top of tall buildings, old objects in glass bottles, some from the EARLY 19th century, classic prints that could have ONLY been done in the field on photographic paper.
All these things make me think: "well rounded guy, pretty cool." Then there's the colored/whites signs on the entrance to two separate doorways. And the wives of the KKK photograph...
I wasn't particularly alright in seeing those. As a matter of fact, I was silenced. It's the same thing that happened when my friend Mike Singh invited me to his house, which turned out to be a small mansion.
It was jarring, internally, and I wasn't certain things were alright. I've had that feeling before.
Now, Phil is a really good guy, up until that point, and he IS 60-something, which could just mean it's nostalgic. However, to put up those objects is a rather bold statement. Personally, I'd be embarrassed about it, and it reminds me vaguely of GHOST WORLD the movie. Any thoughts about that?
I don't understand why I haven't been able to create a group yet. I've tried a trade-group, and have repeatedly attempted a Situationist group, but none of those flew. Am I being shunned or something? Am I too new? I've posted like 70 odd postings at least, since the beginning of May.
Oh well, keep on plugging.
I've gotten all sorts of great smiley animations now, from Marquis6, I think, and they ROCK hard. I don't exatly know how to post them yet, but gimme time, I'm new.
I like the Rigor Mortis group. It's everything that I could ask for, but better, because hot chix diggit too.
Happy weekend, all,
love,
the boy.
