Well home and safe from my trip home. I gotta say, if leave was always that good, I'd have to consider deserting.
All in all it was a great trip home. The family got together for my baby sister's high school graduation. I actually saw my Mom and Dad and both their significant others in a public environment and everyone was civil for a couple of days. That in itself was a minor miracle.
Other than the family stuff I saw almost all of the people that I still know that still live in Louisiana. I ate some spectacular cajun food and learned a few new recipes, I found out that its not crawfish meat that I'm allergic too (took a lot of taste testing to figure it out) instead, I think its something in Zataran's seasoning mix which is awesome. It means I can make and eat crawfish etoufe again
And I even picked up a couple of new phone numbers and made some new friends for next time I get home around christmas.
It was an absolutely awesome week.
