I ended up hitting the beach.
I am sunburnt, sore, salty, itchy, and I probably smell like ocean. I haven't been this content in a long time
I didn't realize until I'd rented a surf board and wet suit how much I MISSED the ocean. Sure, surfing on the beach isn't the same as being hundreds of miles from land, but as I'm paddling out and all I see is ocean, I can pretend
I think I've found my new hobby in surfing too. In the two hours I was at it today, I barely managed to get onto my feet, but I had a blast trying. I also found a great sushi resturant on the beach. I ended up eating there twice in about 3 hours. Really good sushi and the best teriaki chicken I've ever had. I am a VERY happy camper right now.
