So last night I actually turned down an evening of drinking at MJQ in favor of studying for my History of Western Philosophy test. I'm so proud of myself. No, seriously, I am.
Yesterday in Politics of Feminism I got to hear one of the girls in the class, while discussing the idea of virginity according to Beauvoir, use the term "deflowerlized." Yes, she not only used the wrong form of the verb, but added that random, superfluous "l." That annoyed me for the entire day yesterday. Then again, this is the girl who stated in class that her favorite place, her stress relief, and her security blanket were all found in the same place: the mall. Guh. I'm really not sure how she manages to be against the consumerist view of women and yet love shopping so much, but hey.
Oh! Last weekend, while visiting my friend Steve at Auburn, I went to a party in a trailerpark. The party sucked, and the only interesting girl turned out to be someone's 16 year old little sister, so it really wasn't all that fun. But stil, I went to a party in a trailer park. The best part was watching my friend Alison, rich Alpharetta girl that she is, cringe in the presence of all the poor people. I couldn't stop laughing.
And by the way, the latest Fugazi record is awesome. I just got around to getting it, for some reason.
Seriously, my life is a lot less entertaining to read about than it used to be. Hopefully that will all be remedied this weekend. Vladdic will be back from New Orleans and by friend just turned 21. Awesome. If anyone feels like coming to a party Saturday night, let me know and I will direct you.
