I spent all of last night, and I mean all of last night, from 9:30pm to 12:45pm this morning, working on my field study project for anthro. I decided to study the people that frequent Timeless Tattoos because it seemed interesting and it's only about a mile from my apartment. But, of course, I kept putting the trip off until suddenly the project was due in a mere 16 hours and I hadn't even uncapped a pen. Luckily I've hung around up there enough to be able to BS three days of "field notes," and I just had a bunch of my tattooed friends answer my list of questions. There's nothing like faking most of your grade, kids! The best part, however, was the analysis at the end; by this morning I was no longer thinking anywhere resembling straight and I ended up spending most of the paper on this huge metaphysical tangent about tattoos as a right of passage. Ugh. I'm not looking forward to this grade.
Anyway, after turning in that travesty I met up with Alia as planned, but she was nearly as exhausted as I was so our planned afternoon of fun turned into sitting on campus and saying "Uh, what could we do tonight?" We both ended up just going home. Excitement abounds.
Tonight I spent about three hours trying to get my bootleg copy of Rome: Total War to play on my computer. I finally got it running at about 10 and leaned back in my chair in preparation for the awesomeness. The awesomeness that was introduced by a very, very choppy piece of animation for Activision. Oh yeah, three hours of effort and my video card couldn't even handle the bastard.
Oh yeah, and I found out that I got called for jury duty today. I'm scheduled for December 13, which is right in the middle of finals. Awesome. Today sucked.
