Friday night I was supposed to go to my friend Tak's band's show. I met a bunch of kids over at Munchx0r's place to pregame. Suddenly, after about 30 minutes, things took a turn for the worse; one of my roommates' coworkers arrives, and with him is a kid wearing a skeleton hoodie. "Hi, I'm Terrible Tommy," the kid says. My mind flashes back to a conversation between Munchx0r and our friend Lucas a few days before, in which Lucas described a kid who hangs around his house whom they called Terrible Tommy. Luke didn't know his real name (which, as it turns out, is John, or James, or something like that). I soon discovered why. This may be the most annoying kid I've ever met. Everything he said was a reference to or a quote from a movie or a TV show; worse than that, he misquoted nearly every single one. Bah! At some point he decided to quit talking about movies, which would have been great had he not segwayed into politics and the virtues of not voting. At about this point I ducked out as covertly as possible so as to not insult my hosts. I spent the rest of the evening hanging out with my roommate and his sort-of girlfriend, which means it was an evening of awesome third wheel action. But that should give you a good example of just how annoying the aptly named Terrible Tommy is; I actually chose to watch my roommate and his girl be cutesy and make out all night rather than spend any more time with that kid.
Anyway, Saturday Ronnie, my sister and I went to Athens to see Georgia play Tennessee. Ronnie and I got pretty drunk. I started a fight with an old lady who was giving my sister a hard time in the stands. Georgia didn't play well and the refs were terrible so they lost the game. Lame. Afterwards we went out to eat with my folks, visited a friend, then visited another friend. Seriously, nearly everyone I know in Athens went to Atlanta last weekend, so we couldn't find anything to do.
Today I drove back to Atlanta and slept nearly all day, then spent the evening playing Star Wars: Battlegrounds. Speaking of Star Wars, the new Venture Brothers episode nearly caused my early demise through laughter. Awesome.

cassiopeia:
I know someone like this Tommy fellow. ALL he does is quote movies... and always terrible ones.
