Been in Copenhagen for almost a month now, but it feels like no more than two weeks... although, strange enough, it sometimes feels like a year, and then there is of course a lot of stress 'cause I feel as if I'm lagging behind, given that I had to find a place to dwell, etc... I got started pretty late, oh well... next week I'll make up for all the "wasted" time. This week on the other hand, which is actually closing in on its end anyway, I'll go back to Oslo to visit my girlfriend, gonna be great... and then there are my friends of course... my brother, you name it... I'll be back Sunday evening, hopefuly fit for fight, and able to stay vigilant the entire forthcoming week, "studying 9 to 5" (preferably later, 9 to 22, or something...). I've got to! I canceled to many of my exams in Oslo due to depresions, and now the government won't grant me a, well... grant. Friggin' right wing fuckheads! Lucky thing's we just got ourselves a new socialist government, not really socialists... more or less social democrats with a little twist of rightism, but more or less on the socialist side of things in most issues anyway. That's good. Kinda sucks about that grant issue anyway, now my parents got to guarantee for a loan in a bank, i.e. a private loan, which sucks... I can feel the scavengers breathing down my neck... and then I do of course feel bad on behalf of my parents since they've got to help me out, economicly... oh well... archeology is great anyway, so this time I won't bail out!
Some pics from the ya festival in Oslo, and of Copenhagen, etc... (shot with my mobile cam).
The Hot Snakes, at ya:
Sonic Youth(!) with Mats Gustavson at ya:
Franz Ferdinand, also at ya (surprise!):
Here I'm at a fieldtrip with my archeology class, looking at a so called "Jttestue", a kind of room made by this huge rocks, and then buried in a mound, with a narrow entrance... they're about 5000 years old, thus making them some of the oldest human made structures in the world... pretty amazing:
...and this is where I study, the university library, or the royal library as it's really called. I made a "postcard" or a "collage" if you like:
and finally: me riding the metro (fancy word for subway, but you probably knew that
)
Oh yeah, got a new tattoo, added a star with a banner across it saying "lucky", that's one more step on my way to get a sleeve, two sleeves actually... I want my arms covered! ...the only thing stopping me is money...
...
I'll return with a new journal soon, until then enjoy the photos, some more in my "pics" folder
