i've equalized.
i feel a million times better.
i'm not my usual self yet, but getting there.

saw a great show last night. i've developed an appreciation for uvprotection. i wrote to miss ehm about mahi mahi and how i wished i could see them play with football rabbit(ehm's band) back in providence and how one of my quientessential favorite bands is playing the middle east on sunday.
a long time ago, ehm and i were doing our 4'o clock sunday tea and she asked, "$500 to see Madonna??? wtf? who would you pay 500 to see?"
without a moment's hesitation, i said, "Rachel's, doing the Music for Egon Schiele set." she instantly agreed and thought it would be a dream to see them live.
(if you've never heard them, Rachel's is a trio; a pianist, a violinist, and a cellist, sometimes with more members. i think of them as edwardian parlor music. Music for Egon Schiele is one of the few albums that's ever made me cry, and its DAMN hard to make me cry)
so out of nowhere, i went to their site to see if they had any new work and as it turns out, they are playing this sunday. and not for $500 either, which sweetens the deal.
so i will be there, wishing that my old friend could be somehow magically transported up here to share this wish me.

i miss being in somebody's arms right now.
