a nice trip to amherst followed by a nice evening with my boy...
i like going to new places i've never been to before, even if they seem benign and unimportant. a few really neat small towns i've been to:
gloucester, maine: a risd field trip to hang out with the last surviving shakers.
macon, georgia: my dad and i stopped here on our way back to florida from rhode island to pay homage to jimi hendrix
okehumpmea, fl: heidi and i stopped here for gas on our way to tallahasee, there's nothing here really, but its just a fucking cool name
skippers, va: my dad and i stayed here for one night. good home fries and waffles.
glenn burnie, md: when i almost went to work for rolls royce, i went here for an interview. i've never seen so many fisherman in standard yellow raincoats before.
kissimee,fl: usually where we holed up when we went to disney world.
alligator alley, fl: cockroaches 6" long and bigger. and they have 7-dollar steak and lobster.
rockport, ma: went for my birthday with heeter. sat on a rock as is customary.
kennebunk, me: 3 days of rafting, firestarting and starwatching. neat.
++++++
i've a full day ahead of me.
my list for tomorrow:
-go to broadway and see vomit. will acquire a chain tool, pump and lever, and standard repair manual
-take gsr bling bling apart, figure out course of action for fork(monotube extention? dual tube extention?) fix bottom bracket + saw rear support tubes
-change chain on geisha, overhaul bottom bracket and install SC3 archer hub. figure out gearing ratio. remove vinyl from back fender and scrub front fork with steel wool
-make welding arrangements with sterling or beez
if all goes according to plan, gsr bling will be 1/3 complete and geisha will have gears!
tomorrow was meant for chopping. it's the one-year anniversary of when i started chopping geisha(presidents day 2004).
