I noticed almost everyone wrote a pretty elaborate summary of their 2008 I wish I could do it, but I can hardly remember what I did a month ago! All I can tell you is that it has been a challenging year in probably every aspect of my life. All of these challenges have made me a much stronger, laid back and look at the glass half full person. I look forward to a great 2009!
So, we stayed in for New Years. It was actually good because we needed to have some quiet time. We had our good friend Steve over and played Rock Band great game. No skill involved as far as singing goes which is awesome since I am a shower/car with the windows shut only kind of a singer
New Years day we had our friend Stephanie over and the hubbys parents. I made a traditional Thanksgiving dinner You can never have too much of that around here.
Yesterday I went to work for the people who dont know, I work for a local bank in the Loss Prevention/Security/Legal Department ( I LOVE my job, really, I do )
Got pissed off at my good for nothing co-worker.
Every year, we have to box up legal docs that we dont expect to use and send them offsite for storage. So, this year instead of waiting a week or two I decided to get it done right away. Well, we were supposed to do it together which obviously did not happen. She had scheduled to do her overdraft/fraud account closeout (which should not take more than maybe 2 hours as she did not have very many to do). But, she made it a point to do that ALL day and squeeze into her busy schedule talking on the phone to: Her mother, her kids-to make sure they are doing their chores, the ex-to find out why child support money is not in her account, back to mom to find out what shes doing for dinner, her sister to find out what the kids modeling schedule is (both her and her sisters kids are models.. ), the kids again to make sure that the oldest one doesnt have a girl over God forbid the 17 year old is having sex!, the ex again to find out if he can check on the kids b/c she cant get a hold of them Oh, did I mention that this is all done in Italian-which I can understand for the most part but shes not aware of it yeah fucking annoying!!!!!
So, I boxed up everything and went to the boss to complain. Shes supposedly going to talk to her not holding my breath on it. Whatever. I just try to ignore and do my job although the phone conversations are getting a bit out of hand. I may just need to disconnect her line oopps
Today, the hubby and I went to my parents house. My nephew came into town to spend a couple of days with my brother. It meant so much to me that the hubby came with me. He and the family havent gotten along in a long time long story. But I always feel in the middle - which is just awful. All I want is for the most important people in my life to get along- I have gotten past the fairly tale of them loving each other-I just want to be able to spend time with everyone at the same time. I was so happy, I cried a little on the way home It was just wonderful!
So, 2009 will be great!!!!
Love the family, love the friends, love the fur children, love the job, love this town
Something I hope to accomplish this year - I am thinking about volunteering at my local animal shelter The only thing that holds me back is fear of bringing more animals home. We shall see.
So, questions for you:
1. Have you had or do you have a job you truly love?
2. If you could have a your dream profession/job, what would it be?
3. The one thing you wish to accomplish in 2009?
