Captains logs, year, 2005, date january the 24th..

Yesterday was an interesting day. I was made to promise to my mother that I would come over to meet one of her boyfriends students. (he is a college prof.) So, yesterday was that day. I expect the worst of course. Last time I was asked to meet someone by a friend it was.... bad..

Amazingly enough the chick was actually fairly interesting. Odd, I did not think those people exsisted in this area anymore. So, sat around, ate, (mm good food, moms bf also teaches cooking classes.) drank 3 full glasses of brandy.. ah, I did not know brandy could be so good. Ended up going home alone of course, but managed to realize that perhaps I have being flying solo long enough, so got the girls number. Now I just have to decide to call.

Now, I'm not shy or anything like that, but I do still have baggage from my X. So I have been trying to work off that baggage before I hook up with anyone.. Only seems fair. Anyways though, not to bore you peoples. If I do call her up, I gotta think of something to do. Its odd after not dating someone for almost 7 years now how the capacity to flirt or pick up on that shit has left me.
