so my friend matt and i had a music trading party today. he came over around 3 with his computer and his mp3 player and raided my collection, and in return, i got some bjork, bach, blackstar, brian eno, aphex twin, boards of canada, dead can dance, manu chao, rachmaninov, apocalyptica, and the faint's media album. it was cool. right now i'm listening to auf der mar and i have to say, i'm really not all that impressed. i don't really think i was expecting to be though, so that's okay. and it was free, so hey, it can't hurt. i spent friday night in with kate and we watched a really bad movie called "the fanglys" and ate lots of kettle corn. then there was lots of making out. i believe it was the great michael kelso who once said "man, horror movies turn chicks on faster than porno!" and now that i sound like a complete buffoon, i will rescind my prior statement and pretend like i never said that. also went and saw spider man 2 in IMAX yesterday before going over to my friend pete's house and watching people play beirut while i drank tons of pan and ate vodka-watermelon, vodka-clementines, and vodka-lemons. it was a par-tay. and if you've never had pan, then you're missing out. remind me to tell you about it some day. my good friend lou (who towers above even me) also busted out his pipes and sang a wonderful rendition of "now you're a man," the theme song from orgazmo by none other than dvda. it was a fine night. i've had a good weekend. and next week, i get to go see the cure, and my friends from massachusetts are coming down, and we're gonna go to punk rock/heavy metal karaoke at arlene's grocery on monday, and the village, garden state, and harold and kumar go to white castle all come out. plus, i'm buying a car! damn. i'm busy.
