ok...
ooohhh i'm excited...so i went into work today...had a pretty crappy day involving a party of 27 people..(they were cool...just really unorganized...they were supposed to fax in their order so it would be ready by the time they got there..and no one sent it...blahblahblah..)..and some ancient people...not just old..they were already decomposing...anyway...towards the end of the shift i struck a deal with one of the managers...see, we got a shipment of furniture for our patio...and they needed help unboxing it all and setting it up..my offer was to help with all of that if only they would go ahead and cut me so i wouldn't have to deal with anymore old people...or customers in general...the deal was ok'ed...and i headed out to help...now near the end we came across a box containing two chairs that rocked...all the chairs were wrought iron..but these two were like a step above the rest...my manager joked around and was like "these are going to my patio at home..i meant to order these"..and i said "ya know john, i'm moving into my new place on sunday..i could definitely use some patio furniture"..he counted all the chairs...determined that they were indeed extras..and said "ok, they're yours"...boom..i got two free wrought iron rocking chairs....it's funny that i got so excited about something silly like that...but it's the little things in life (like free stuff) that make me happy...
