I always want to get away from it all! Even when I am away I still want to be somewhere else! How's the weight loss going?
dmac:
Time away is such a luxury for me. That picture you posted just makes me want to escape! Where would you choose to go if you actually COULD pick and run away? smile

I have worked in the medical field for a while now. I've done my time in the trenches, almost 4 years, in an ER as a medic and come out with a lot of medical knowledge. The one great thing about being in this field is that everyday you learn something new. Here is something I learned at work one night.

When someone is about...

Dear Dr J.,

I use to take medicines and I really don't see the point... I'm sure they make me healthy and I look perfectly normal...
You must know that I totally agree with this poor man who wants to know who ate his cookies, eating someone else's cookies is an awful crime which should be severely punished! mad

Now I have to leave you cause I'm searching for my bath rug... surreal biggrin
littlebluepig:
Lol biggrin

How are you today?
I just stopped working and it's 4 am, I'm so exhausted (and hungry...) whatever
But I'm really happy of what I'v done these last days biggrin..; the bad news are that I HAVE to hold this rythm until the end of June, or I will fail and my father is going to cut me in slices... failure is definitely not an option whatever
Tomorrow I think I'm going to call my friend who's working as researcher in the same team as my teacher, maybe she can help me a little bit with statistics, because I hardly understand what that word means... Actually I think I could do it myself but I'm on a hurry so I will take her advices as she gave statistic courses. Damn I'm really anxious about this final work (and I stop anxiolytics at the same time... because of you, you freaked me out this morning!blackeyed .. No I'm joking, I just...stopped because I'm getting bored of this shit and of going to the doctor)
If I get this degree I really think it will be the happiest and the most relieving day of my life! biggrin

What kind of nice project are your working on? smile

AH, no I'm going to watch my episode of Desperate Housewives and go to bed! Niiice! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Have a nice day or night, take care! smile
Kisses and hugs kiss

Ok, so just got off work and man was it a nice night. Got to hold a sleeping toddler all night so it was rough lol.

I had my first Jiu Jitsu class monday night for 2 hours. 1 hour of working out/warming up and 1 hour of technique. That work out killed me, bear crawls, push ups, crawling on the ground......loved every back breaking...

Well, looks like this year has potential for fun. I'm losing weight, getting in shape, taking Jiu Jitsu, trying to find a gal who likes a nice guy (harder than you think ), and doing some major traveling. I'm lucky that I make good money and only work 3 days a week, 12 hour night shifts....love em and can't image working 5 days a week.....freaks...

So you are training in BJJ? I'm not sure if I know an academy in MO... mind if I ask who you train with? I used to train BJJ and Muay Thai, but I've been injured for a year now and I'm still no where near recovery. I go to mundials, panams and the u.s open every year too..

Anyhoo, sorry I got diverted from my purpose of coming to your blog. I wanted to thank you for the love on my set. I appreciate it greatly!

Just got back from Jiu Jitsu and I am sore in place I didn't know I had. My Gi is 100% sweat, my toes are raw from mat burn, and I couldn't be happier. I look forward to the fun, discipline, and pain it's gonna bring. I can't wait to get in the tub and soak these bones lol.

But on a sad note, my...

Yeah, babies are definitely quiet and nice compared to that! biggrin

I've been working one year as a stage and now I'm doing a research to finish my studies in another autistic children school. I'd like to make it my job after...

a mean meatball sandwich with melted cheese with a pinch of shredded cheese.....heaven lol

I'd rather say HELL! puke This is typically something too fat for me, but I know you american people like this kind of things, cause we have a new american sandwich shop called "Subway" and that's definitely the kind of things they cook... I couldn't choose anything whatever
But here we have warm sandwiches too, but in other shops called "friteries" or "durum" where they sell fries and sandwiches with hallal meat and fries... sometimes I eat it but I always regret it after because it's so heavy on your stomach! confused

So I guess you'll go to sleep now, have nice pingouin dreams! biggrin
See you later! kiss

Oh man, I'm so sorry for you, really frown How is she going now? (she is a dog? sorry but I'm not sure)
It's a huge pain to loose a friend, I cried so much when my rats died, I loved them a lot, they were like my little family. No they're all resting in peace under the same tree but I still miss them year later...
I'm already afraid for my dog even if she is only 3, I don't know how I could do without her...
All my thoughts are with you and your Pookie, I hope she can leave this world peacefully to cross the rainbowbridge. I send you lots of courage, hugs and kisses! kiss
basil123:
that's so sad. i hope she's not suffering too much frown it makes me sad when animals get sick.

You ever get the feeling you were born in the wrong time? I can see myself living a complete and happy life away from all this modern goodness. But then again, who knows right.

p.s. sorry for the wtf entry, had a long night at work, had to deal with some dumb ass parents who cared more about talking on their cell phones...

Just got back a little while ago from observing some Jiu Jitsu. Wow, is really the only word that comes to mind. Here's the dude who runs the program.

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is run by Rodrigo Vaghi. Rodrigo is a 4th Degree Black Belt, and highest ranking representative, of the Rickson Gracie International Jiu-Jitsu Association. Rodrigo originally began teaching at the Gracie Academy in...

Martial arts definitely give you a self-confidence boost, and it is a helluva workout! I kinda miss my days in classes, but full-contact sparring was not a favorite activity of mine, and that was something that was integral to my instructor's style. I wouldn't mind getting back into it, but don't enjoy getting beaten and bruised blackeyed Also a movie geek... I have all of Rob Zombie's movies. Have you seen his remake of Halloween?

Hi! smile

It's so cool you made it !!! biggrin I'm proud of you, you're so motivated ! If you're already high, you'll see next week that sport makes you feel soooo good ! I'm happy for you smile

I always realized that when I had lost some weight, I would be able to do things I had only dreamed of. Since losing 78 pounds ( so far ) I am about to learn.....

Jiu-Jitsu

After some online searching, I found a respected and credited Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, Boxing, and Muay Thai camp only 25 minutes from my house.

The thought of doing something once...

well...there are a few individual artists that work at iron age that come highly recommended-but that shop really gives me a bad vibe and the last time i went in there to chat a bit, they gave some of the worst aftercare advice i have ever heard. perhaps it was a fluke...i have also heard and seen many good things come out of all stars and trader bobs...so things are still way up in the air tattoo wise. who is the artist you used at iron age?
littlebluepig:
Hey, I'm happy to see that you feel good and your are more motivated than ever biggrin
It's a great idea to begin a sport!
I've done some Ju-Jitsu when I was like 13, but I didn't like it because I was only with 40 years old men and they were taking me for a crash test confused

No I do fitness, I began 3 years ago but I stopped going frequently a few months ago and planned to go back tomorrow! biggrin We have a course which is a kind of mix between all martial arts and boxes, but we don't hit anybody... actually it's a kind of what we call sometimes "aero-kickboxing" : a cardio training by doing movements of karate, tai-chi, boxe, muy thai... Where I go it's called "body combat". I love it! love
It could be a way to avoid your glasses problem, but you have to know that it's a quite different thing : the purposes are loosing weight, improving physical condition and reinforcing the muscles but you can't talk about learning to fight or even mastering a martial art this way... besides, the atmosphere is like in fitness clubs (everybody screaming and having fun), which is at the opposite of the relaxing and focusing state of mind of a martial art.

I wanted to begin real muy thai course this year but finally I had too much work for my studies... but it's my favourite part of the course now (it can be nice to see the different styles before you choose a martial art).

Anyway, if you want to try this, don't forget the coaches are always trying to push you further and you don't have to listen to them unless you want to die trying this course biggrin (nearly happened to me more than once tongue)

I wish you will have a lot of fun whatever you choose, sport is sometimes a pain but at the end it's really worth it.

(Sorry I feel like unable to express anything clearly in english tonight, I spent the whole day cleaning every centimeter of my appartement, and it just made me sick because I hate cleaning :madsmile

Have a nice evening! smile
Kisses kiss

In a very Steampunk mood today. I'm wearing my top hat, and wishing I had a cane and some copper goggles lol. Thankfully I have some music.

The Doctors Wife

The Watchmakers Apprentice

And of course, the gods that are Abney Park called Wrong Side

Anyone else a fan of all the rocks that...
