well first off, Getcha Pull! Happy 47th Birthday to the one and only Dimebag Darrell!
R.I.P. brother! gone but not forgotten. stronger than all. cheers!
let's see.. life right now, well i'm waiting for it's next chapter. well simply because i haven't written it yet! and i'm really trying to be a good author. it's rough but i don't wanna be on that shelf with the ones broken and all taped up and out of date! Ha!
what the fuck am i talking about???
i quit my fucking job.
yes i did wait to blog about cause even at that time i was hiding it from everyone. mainly because i chose this decision for my own well being. and i know you're not suppose to quit a job without going to something. which i'm not sure why i hid it from blogs, this place i feel comfortable talking about personal stuff other than family, friends in my real life. there are some really awesome, kind and like minded people i've been able to converse with on here. so forgive me.
i don't wanna get into to it too much because that chapter is over and it's dead. i spoke alot about my work in blogs and so if you didnt know, i fucking despised it and the people around me.
why'd ya quit, right? i know! i know! majority of people hate their jobs and suck it up, i get it. well im not that sucker who is gonna let someone else steam roll me when they prosper! and thats what United Parcel Service does! it came to a point where low pay, extremely low staff, cut hours, increased work and a lot of fighting with supervisors and management was at high level which made me do what i did. not to mention injuries and one surgery, i'm only 27 and i've been through enough physically.
so there you have it folks, the real big scoop...
life right now... its been about 3 weeks. the job hunt is still on going, i've never stopped even way before i did the above. it's frustrating. a lot of rejections, a lot of just left hanging. i really regret not going to college and i know theres college grads that having a rough time right now, i just feel i could of actually done something.
i just want to be happy for once. between what was work life and even home life.
you only live once, i keep telling myself. and only I can get where i need to be.
the shit worth talking about
i was offered free tickets to the Gigantour a couple weeks ago. Black Label Society and Megadeth where the only ones i really wanted to see and guess what??? i didnt get the tickets until late in the evening due to my friends work schedule. we got there late and had to take the ferry, which isnt too time consuming but we found a band had bailed up and the concert scheduling was pushed forward and i missed out on Black Label!!!but i did get to see Megadeth! so in a way it was a bummer but it was free!
this past weekend has been a long and fun one! [rare to say] but anyway Thursday started this band competition/concert here in Philly at The Legendary Dobbs bar. The Liberty Fest. 55+ until Sunday! and also on Thursday and that day only they had a Food Festival for over a mile on South St, full of food vendors from all over and some bands on corners. and tons of chicks! heheanyway my sister got a call from a friend that she knows from that very bar. he has his own local, unsigned band company, actually called "Unclaimed Bands", which he videos and interviews bands to help them all over the city. he needed help and needed a camera person. his company from my knowledge is only 3 guys, including his cousin, which is a new friend now but he works for the bar. so since my sister works late she wasnt sure if she'd be able to do it all and get up early the next day. so yours truly had an opening! haha i "worked" all 4 days of festival. i knew there wasn't going to be a big pay out. i made a few bucks, no cover judge since i was apart of the crew and some drinks were free. but i didnt care. it was an awesome experience and all i had to do was film bands at the upstairs bar for a few songs so he could promote them, it was cake and i had fun. i got to meet all kinds of people, bands, promoters what not not. definitely something i needed to happen and im glad!.
during that weekend, i had tickets to Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals! which i was very excited for! it is Phil's first ever solo record and it's fucking insane! also with the build of Pantera and Superjoint Ritual covers were happening, i was in all my glory! heres a photodump..
it was kinda hard to get some real quality ones because it just turned into insanity. i was right there on the rail. and ONCE AGAIN i have videos that i do not know how to put into blogs. i just read the videos on the help page so if i am successful, please take a look at the video tabby thingie in the future.
and the rumors were true! they started with Death Rattle(Pantera), most of the new album, Fuck Your Enemy(Superjoint Ritual), a Dazed And Confused(Led Zeppelin) mini jam, lastly Domination/Hollow into Primal Concrete Sledge(Pantera). it was fucking brutal!
mega blog, i know. ha. that sums my life up these past couple weeks.
hope you all are well and haven't fell asleep by this, haha.
i'm ready for the future. the end.
