right there with ya! I also 'love' how the Oregon Health Plan insurance is set up to be there for people who can't afford other healthcares and are DISABLED, meaning chronic health problems meaning NEEDING doctors and appointments and procedures quite often and not being financially able to pay out of pocket for them..................but the same insurance wont cover barely anything, needs five million approvals for everything, limits who you can see and what you can do. It doesnt make any sense!!! And it gives my doctors this sense of giving up, they know they cant change what my health insurance limits so they tell me to just forget about trying. UGh...rant. sorry.

I live in Belgium and i think it's just totally unfair that despite you took a personal health insurance you're still not allowed to get the surgeries you need... Maybe you could try in another country, like Canada or Europe, where healthcare is still a right for everyone. I took a personal insurance in addition to the public one we all have to pay, and it allows me to choose any doctor and any room in any hospital, without any price limitation. It could maybe be a solution for you, if you feel ready to move for some time...
Anyway, i'm wishing you the best for the future and a lot of happiness with your fiance!
