So tonight I'm going to a VIP Oktoberfest party at a bar, my friend is the marketing manager so basically this means that we get free food and beer all night. That also normally means that I am drunk by like 630pm since it starts at 530pm. I've also heard that this year they have strap on Ledershosen... for those interested you can Google that! Pictures to follow I'm sure.
So aside from that I'm going through some major life change right now. I graduated college in 2005 and have been working full-time for the last 5 years as a web designer and I've decided to go back to school. I'm 30. So this is a big risk. I'm going to take Culinary Management because I have some ideas surrounding having my own bakeshop of sorts. I won't give much detail just in case somebody steals my idea and becomes a zillionaire. hahaha But I'm really excited about it.
The company I work for is fantastic and I really love my job but unfortunately it's a small company and there is little room for advancement and really low pay. So I was going to look for a new job anyway so I figured I might as well get some more career experience and make the move now... just wasn't ready to settle down I guess.
So right now I'm going through the madness of applying and hoping I can still get in for January. I'm so excited that I really don't want to have to wait until May! When I want things, I usually want them immediately and will do anything in my power to obtain them. Very impatient.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Has anyone else been crazy/spontaneous and up and quit their job to return to school? Has anyone actually taken a culinary program? I would love to hear about your experiences.

30 is actually very young so it seems to me like a great time to start something new
best of luck and welcome to SG
