My Grandfather has colon cancer (which unfortunately is what took away my Grandmother as well) and he is supposed to have surgery in the next few weeks. Apparently, the doctor said that his chance of survival is slim considering his condition (he has SEVERE lung problems) and age. He has conceded in his fight as he told me. His brother just passed away weeks ago....

Trying to show somebody everything is going to be ok in their life is nigh impossible over the phone.
When distance prohibits my ability to comfort a friend who I adore, I tend to form a distaste for the laws of physics.
Damnable science. So, tell me. Why can't we teleport?

we can't teleport because it would be too freaking easy. and airlines would go out of business. there's a conspiracy theory in here somewhere.
hm.
I read a book today, "Fugitives and Refugees" by Chuck Palahniuk at the recommendation of a fellow member here. While I truly enjoyed it, it was a rather brief affair as it was only around 170 pages of larger type.. so, needless to say, the book was finished not long after I started.
My Mom invited me down for supper (I am still at...

So, I made a girl cry tonight.
I guess thats what I get for being honest about how I feel about her.
After an initial wave of guilt, Im doing alright.
On one level, I feel bad. Another, I feel good about telling her that Im not too keen on seeing somebody as hateful as her. I mean, I was as polite as I could...

I'm glad you're doing okay. You did the right thing, which hurts sometimes, but you know it was the right decision.

yeah dude. i dont really care about anything but sound and playability. just because a guitar is made by gibson doesnt automatically make it a great guitar and just because a guitar is made by some noname brand doesnt make it a bad guitar. well whatever man.
Since, I cant sleep and Im listening to this at the moment (and it just seems relevant) Im just gonna post the lyrics. I will give you a nickel if you know what song it is.
Four o'clock in the morning and still we cannot sleep
Turning over turning round, twisting in our sweat
They say there is no rest for the wicked ones

maine? holy shit my ex-girlfriend is from maine. she grew up in farmington. went there quite a few times over the last few years, i liked it alot. i'm sending that mp3 now.
wakeangel:
i'm glad you liked the song. it's always a little nerve wracking sending strangers your music, especially if it's just you. yeah the digitech stuff kicks ass. although i've had mine for so long that that some of the pedals don't work anymore. including the most important on the DISTORTION and my music is so dynamic that it's a real drag when you can't easily flip it on and off. i had the rp1 for a while and now this. i've been looking at that new boss board the me-50. the one that has the analog knobs on it. it doesn't have any amp modeling on it but with two different marshalls and a 5150 cab i've got that covered. have you played it before? so what kinda gear are you running?
pffffffffft.
No good.
No good.

que paso?
She told me she likes bondage.
Interesting thing to mention before we say our farewells for the evening.
I think she likes me.

Hellsing rocks!
The series revolves around a brittish vampire hunting organization (the Hellsing institution) that is officially recognized by the government, and violently at odds with the vatican's psychotic vampire hunting sect. They have many special weapons at their disposal, but their greatest weapon is a vampire named Alucard, who it all but totally under their control. While he's in the process of doing his job, a female police officer gets in the way, so to finish his job he gets her to concent to become a vampire so he can shoot through her to get his quarry. She, being under his control, is now under the control of this organization, and is trained as a vampire hunter herself.
For some strange reason, there has been a drastic increase in the vampire population. They come across an organic microchip that simulates vampirism, but they suspect that something other than a human being is behind it. They have to figure out who or what it is and stop it, before all human life is erraticated.
It's only like 13 episodes, so it's hard to say much without giving it away. There's a big moral dillema thing going on with the female officer: will she drink the blood...won't she drink the blood. The lunatic vampire-hunting priest from the vatican is cool as hell. And Alucard is just about as badass as anyone I've ever seen.

I hope everyone had a fun/safe holiday.
Anyways.. Im fairly pleased today.. I think things are heading towards a possible relationship with someone I've known for a bit. Which would be entirely welcome. She is a complete sweetheart. So, possibly the new year will hold something good for me. That would be a good change of pace for me. Ive been by myself for a...

Hey, just thought I'd say hello. The dwarves are one of my new favorite bands (I just started listening to em). Anywho, good luck with the lady.
If anybody actually reads this.. Happy Holidays..
anyways.. so. Christmas was good. Relatively no fighting with my family. My Mom made some awesome lasagna. I got some congas amongst other things from those who cared to give me gifts. Always good to have more percussion at my disposal. Really.
So, today marks exactly one year since my fiance left me. I thought I might not...
