I was most of the way home tonight when I got a call from the store's security company. They said a burglar alarm went off shortly after I closed up. I headed back and the cops were already there. They said when they arrived, the door was unlocked and the alarm was going off but they didn't find anyone there or any signs of forced entry.
I saw all but one employee leave but I'd told her a while before she could go, so I'd assumed she had left. Apparently, such was not the case. I gave her a call and found out I had locked her in. Since the alarm was already set, her opening the front door set it off and she doesn't have a key to lock it back up. Oops. I guess from now on I need to check the bathrooms before I go at night. I still found the whole thing pretty funny, though.
