I'm now a manager at PETsMART. I still don't see myself as management material, but whatever. I'm making better money now than I ever have in my life. I've only been there two days going through these books that are basically a scavenger hunt for crap in the store. It's really slow going and boring at times but I think the actual job will be better. I'm really hoping 45 hours of walking per week plus not being able to eat as much will result in a smaller Brian.

The bassist I thought would work out bailed on us before we even met him. I don't know what it is about this damn city. I'd think Chicago would be a hotbed for those pursuing the rawk. All we've met are losers who want to half-ass everything. We're going to step up our musician search to cover more ground and start with the open mics again. If nothing happens, we're leaving. I really like Chicago but I have to get this band going. Chris and I have too many good songs to give up. He wants to go to LA but Melissa refuses to do so. I'm gonna see if I can talk him into Seattle. It may be better there anyway because of less competition and need to play the corporate game. I don't really want to live in LA to begin with but would go if I really thought it would be the key to the band making it.
