Chris and I had our first public appearance as God-like Creatures last night. A friend of his had invited him to a party to sing something and he said only if I went would he perform. We played 4 songs -- 3 that he'd written from his previous band and one that we wrote together. We totally fucked up the third song but I didn't really care. I couldn't stop smiling when I was up there. I know that's not very rawk star but I haven't done something like that since my last band broke up in 1997. We're probably going to start practicing twice a week and getting out to play more shows with just the two of us. I was opposed to the idea at first but we're not having much luck finding other bandmates through ads. I think if people see us and get a first-hand impression of our sound we'll have a better chance of recruiting more people. I asked Chris' girlfriend if she thought he would decide he couldn't work with me again. She said no and that he was regretting splitting up right after he did it. She said he's very happy we're back together and thinks that we're gonna go places. So that made me feel good. I also found out that both Chris and I have Joseph as our middle name and that both of us got that name from our grandfathers. That's just weird and cool all at once. My mom thinks we should write a song called "Joseph." I think it's a good idea. Anyway, God-like Creatures is going strong and will hopefully keep going.
