Greetings from toasty Las Vegas, Nevada to all my faithful followers, loyal friends, and random stumble uponers. Yes, toasty, we've had more than a few 110+℉ days this past summer. The last couple of weeks were especially brutal topping out officially at 114℉ at the airport, but more likely 115℉ 0r 116℉ where I live, even though I'm just a 15 minute drive from the airport.
Crazy days indeed! I won't go into the minutia, but my day job is that of a software tester. I specialize in test automation, meaning I write code to test software. I work for a multinational software consulting company... we build software for clients and help them digitally transform their businesses. I work with about 20 people, scattered around the world: San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas, Nevada, Romania, and India. Our client is Gilead Sciences, Inc. You may have heard of a drug they make; it was available for compassionate medicine and emergency use as it had not been approved for market by the CDC, but it had shown to reduce the effects of COVID-19 in some severely stricken patients. That drug was called Remdesivir. They recently announced that the FDA had expanded emergency use of Veklury, the production name for Remdesivir, which is the only antiviral drug approved by the FDA for emergency use against COVID-19. Pretty exciting to work for this client.
Anyway, for the last month, I've been working crazy days and nights, even pulling all-nighters a two or three times preparing for and executing a regression test on the software we're building for them. It's an internal mobile app for distributing news, events, notifications, and other company information, including cafeteria hours and menus to its employees. In fact, I was so busy, that @alissagunn's second set Bedroom Eyes was released to Member Review on 23 August 2020, at something like 2 AM Pacific time, and I didn't have time to do any lead up and post release promotion. And since she's got some real life things going on and been staying with her parent's in South Dakota all summer, AlissaGunn hasn't been able to do much either.
But from the look of it, we didn't need to do much. It's 01 September 2020. With no lead up promotion and very little after release promotion, I am both amazed and humbled by the reception the set has received so far: more than 1800 ❤️s in 10 days. OMG! This is by far the best performing set I've shot so far. AlissaGunn and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
Can it get to 2000 ❤️s. Let's make it happen!
Thanks again for supporting AlissaGunn and me. Here's a sneak peek from her next set that I finished editing this past weekend.

In some other interesting Las Vegas news, Wayne "Mr. Las Vegas" Newton's Casa De Shenandoah is for sale last week for a cool $29.9M US. I really wish I was rich so I could buy it... seriously! I only live a mile away from it and drive past it frequently. Take a look and you'll see what I mean. Anyone want to go in on it with me? Look at all the settings we'd have for photo sessions... indoors and outdoors. Imagine all the shootfests we could have!
StayTuned...
