OH FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST!
You're = You are. (You're very poor at grammar)
Your = Possessive. (Your social life is clearly more active than mine.)
Then = A time (I was cool back then)
Than = A comparative statement (My grasp of the English language is better than yours)
There = A place. (I put it over there.)
Their = Possessive (It belongs to them. It's theirs.)
They're = They are. (They're going to get piss ass drunk tonight.)
It's = It is. (It's astounding how little people care about proper grammar.)
Its = Possessive. (That dog of undetermined gender has a ball. It is its ball.)
Could've = Could have. Please don't write it down as "could of." It makes no sense.
This rule also applies to "should" and "would."
I don't care if these two words are in the dictionary as "American slang,"
Irregardless = NOT A WORD!!!! Say regardless, then you sound less stupid.
Anyways = NOT A WORD!!!! Say anyway. You would never say "anyhows," and they are synonyms.
I know it's the internet, but come on. Languages should be used properly if they are going to have any impact at all.
And I'm not accusing everyone of falling prey to these ridiculous, and ridiculously common, grammatical errors, but damn if they don't show up ALL THE DAMN TIME on the internet.
Clearly, I'm obessed with grammar. Clearly.

P.S. Colour, honour, flavour, neighbour etc. etc. DO have "u"s in them. That's howthe English spell them, and they invented the language. However, I'll let people get away with that, I suppose.
