ENOUGH!
That depressing post has been up long enough.
There's some cathartic about writing stuff down in the relatively immaterial digital realm of the internet (of which I now have an intimate knowledge. The internal workings of the internet are incredibly boring. I can't figure out how people can be networking professionals. I would kill myself out of boredom.).
So what's going on in my life right now...
1) I had a programming midterm last Friday. One third of the test was on material NOT COVERED AND THAT WE WERE NOT RESPONSIBLE TO KNOW. I'm really fucking irritated by this, because now I have to start a personal war with the computer department to save everyone's mark. Grrr, personal wars take too much effort.
2) My lab instructor for Electronics 1 gave me an 80% on my lab test. I argued it up to 100%. Now he knows not to fuck with me.
3) My Electronics 1 midterm was hard. In fact, 70% of the class of over 100 people failed. That's a lot of failure. I got an 80%. It was the third highest mark in the class.
4) Clearly, school is currently consuming my life.
5) My rats didn't respond well to being at the vet while I was in Costa Rica. Chomsky wasn't eating much and lost a bunch of weight. He's o.k. now. Sensitive little guy, he is.
6) I'm a nerd. I own seasons 1-4 of the digitally remastered Drangonball Z. So if you think you're nerdier than me, now you know you're probably not.
7) The word "nothing" is typically used incorrectly. The only place in the universe where "nothing" exists is in a black hole. There is never "nothing" in anything down on earth. "Very little" is a far more appropriate term. The same applies to the word "everything." "Everything" applies to all matter in the known universe. You can't put "everything" in a bag; unless it's a universe sized bag. And that's unlikely. But if you have one, I really want to see it.
8) I can't take anything seriously anymore. It takes too much effort.
9) In a series resonance circuit, the capative reactance is equal to the inductive reactance, and current through the circuit is at a maximum. You should remember that.
10) I really wish I was a creative person. I've got a reasonably decent grasp of the English language, but can only use it for technical purposes. My ability to be creative and poetic is pretty close to absent. It's always bothered me. Meh, but someone has to analyze circuits and write reports in the world, right?
11) I want a keyboard that does not have a "caps lock" or "insert" key. I never use them, and I hate them with a white hot intensity that burns with the heat of a thousand suns.
12) I enjoy short sentences and sentence fragments. I find they add poignancy to writing. That, or I'm too lazy to come up with full sentences. One or the other.
13) "Then" refers to a time ("In what order should I perform those tasks?" "First, do this, then to that."). "Than" is included in a comparative statement ("Which is bigger?" "This one is bigger than that one."). These are often mixed up and misused. Please learn the proper use of them; English speaking people who can't write properly in English kind of bother me. Not that I'm perfect, just that I think you should understand the rules of the language you speak on a regular basis.
14) I have a temporal theory of existence that's either enormously profound or completely insane. I would think it's probably the latter.
Lots to do, no desire to do so,
J.R.
P.S. This song is insanely fun...
I love Japanese stuff. It tends to be so out there that I just can't help but love it.
I should really go to Japan some time and check it out.
P.P.S. This is a long Post Post Scritum, so I'm going to spoiler it...

Bizarre really.
Guinness and cigarettes aren't a detox diet?!
