You should read the Satanic bible.
I don't say this in a "this is what I believe, and therefore you should believe it," way. Far from it. I'm not by any personal declaration a "Satanist" persay (regardless of my affiliation with the Satanist group here), but the way I live my life coincides almost completely with LaVey Satanism. It's quite an interesting phenomenon. The entire book mirrors all my thoughts and philosphies about life.
The reason I say you should read it is this...
It's a very nice belief stucture. It lays out a very good way to live your life, with none of the contradictions of popular religion, and is written quite eloquently and very understandable. It also doesn't preach specific rules about how you can live, but provides general dictums that help guide you in life.
It is, by the way, not animal sacrifice and paganism; it's about embracing both your humanity and your animalism, indulging yourself, and gaining knowledge. It's also very much for tolerance, and is far more about peace than Christianity and its ilk.
I am a big supporter of understanding things, which is why I read the book in the first place. It's quite a nice little read (only 272 pages), and it gives a very good understanding of what a modern "Satanist" is. I found it informative and it is one of the most interesting reads I've ever experienced.
I recommend it.

P.S. This is all said under the assumption you haven't yet read it. Ignore me if you have. Hell, ignore me if you're just sick of me.
P.P.S. If say something and is pisses someone off, so fucking what? I piss people off all the time being honest, but that stop me from being friends with them. When people get pissed, it's usually because it's true.
P.P.P.S. If you actually read all my shit, I love you. You don't understand how much I really have to say (I could honestly write ten pages daily full of opinions and bullshit), and anyone who listens (reads) it has my undying affection.

Note: I accidentally typed 'crap' instead of 'crack' to someone.... Making it read 'Yoiu crap me up'. That was possibly the funniest slur I've ever made.
