ha ha, gotta love it. backpackers. they ask all about tax, then thinking they might save themselve a few small $$ ignore what you advise them, and end up with a $2000+ bill from the ato. mad paniced emails to me asking my advice again, to which this time they listen and get the all their tax back. it always amazes me how much short term possible savings affect how people look at life...
