It's finally cool in Florida!!!!
Windows open at home, driving with the sunroof open, shooting outdoors without fucking melting...this is good weather!
In a few weeks is Zombicon, our yearly zombie-fest...parts of Day of the Dead were filmed here so that makes it a bit more interesting. There is an accompanying group art show called Dark Art, I've got a piece in it this year. I didn't have time to enter last year since my 3 month installment up north had just opened.

It's a gel transfer of one of my photographs on a reclaimed window. Got a lot more of this kind of work coming, actually. It's refreshing to make something with my hands as well as a camera and all that. I miss having a darkroom.
Hmmm...upcoming work. Lots of it ahead. I'll be publishing a book of photos selected from my first year's work on Zivity, more info on that as soon as it's done. I'm also about to shoot a special Halloween image and make limited edition prints of it...it's honestly just a quirky little idea I had that really doesn't fit anywhere else, but I really want to shoot the image so I figured limited prints would be the best way to justify shooting it. Shooting a photo editorial for an alt-art-fashion magazine that I can't talk about too much yet, that's exciting.
Lots of stuff for Zivity, and likely a few sets for SG as well if schedules ever work out. New studio in January, we moved out of the old one last month. I guess that means you should expect to see more location work from me.
Heh, that all sounds like a lot, but it's really not. I need more people around here to shoot!
Seriously, though, I'm kinda going crazy not shooting much. Even if I'm not making any money off of it, I would rather be shooting than not.
I just realized that I never blogged any of the photos from my Zivity set with Nicotine, so I'll leave you with that. Aside from being gorgeous and super hot, she's a really awesome person and I feel lucky to have worked with her. Looking forward to hopefully working with her again in the future sometime. Those of you in the Photography Group have already seen these, sorry.
