i just found out that ignavia press has accepted my story, "creations myth," for publication in their winter 2008 issue of ignavia. august rush

a friend and i went to the movies last night and saw august rush. not a terrific movie. entertaining to a point, and the premise interesting. but my advice is to wait until it comes out on dvd and then, if you decide to, rent it. not worth the bucks to see it on big screen.

last saturday i found out timber creek review took my poem, "faces." it should appear in print sometime in 2008. nice way to enter a weekend. along with the snowstorm.

phew. better morning for sure. i remembered to pick up coffee at market last night. can't imagine not having this habit. a few others as well. but damn it's not pleasant when i run out of one of them.

a buddy of mine defines the four food groups as coffee, beer, cigarettes and aspirin. i'm not quite that bad.

it snowed this morning! augh!

i found out this morning that two of my poems, "off topic" and "love speak," have been accepted for publication in the journal RFD. its logo proclaims "a country journal for queer folks everywhere." good news for sure. the editor and i are negotiating on a third poem, "loss." fingers crossed on that one.
