Darkness dwells within light
reach down, and stretch far
reach...as far, as far as your arms can withstand
before snapping off
From the pressure and pain

And in no way, will the stains
you left on my right sleeve
the night you left me to bleed
and plead
for your
heart
for your
mind
for your
soul

wash away clean


though it may seem
easy as can be
for me to just walk away
I'm glued to my seat

strapped down
tied up

battered and left for dead

my eyes are forcefully held open by a strangers hands
I'm made to sit and watch the sun come up
the tears flood, and fall from lid to lip
slipping down my chin

She tightens her grip
as the morning glare begins to burn
I grit my teeth, and clench my fist

And for what risk?

she let's out a deep sigh and loosens her grip
why do I fight at all
why do I remain
why do I care
then I imagine how lovely the sky looks when the sunshine is swallowed up by nightfall
I would never want to miss that
