Christmas Day in the dawghouse was pretty darn good. - I gave, I received, people came, games were played, and then they went, smiling.

Lists:
Got: Yamaha DTXplorer electronic drumkit; headphones; The Complete Calvin &Hobbes boxset; Moomin comic strip book (by the awesome Tove Jansson); Lactaid Dreams - a very weird Japanese colouring book by Kozyndan (pics of middle aged Japanese men dressed as schoolgirls, bears vomiting up frogs in blenders, eyepatched girls wetting themselves; Yoshitomo Nara postcard book; a magic set; a giant Thornton's choc-coin and santa; a customise-it-yrself 8" Kid Robot Munni with placard, mushroom and spex accessories; an Op art diary; Lucky Luke book; Chris Ware's latest; a Futurama dvd; and 2 Hello Kitty pencil cases!

Gave: Three quarter length black coat; hand-made necklace; Sopranos dvd box set; Survivors dvd box sets (series 1-3); Amy Winehouse cd; red and white and blue and white pop art bracelets; telly addicts dvd game; home made leprechaun identity pillow (I did the felt collage character, shamrocks and lettering, Mitz's mum stitched it and stuffed it; fifa 2007 ps2 game; ps2 controller; set of 4 chinese bowls (x2); Thunderegg Cookie bag; Saucy Minx make-up bag; cushion embroidery set; stretching frame for set; Oswald Mosely biog; novel about ancient Rome; tv digi box; digital camera + accessories; digital radio; batman book; Star Wars miniatures x 2; Happy Feet joke book; Blur songbook; Star Wars Transformer; magnetic Batman figure; Pirateology book; Mermaid books x2; St Bernard soft toy; little plastic pandas; Moomin mugs x 3; tube of jelly beans and Japanese/Eskimo figure x4.

The table was fab - white linen on a red and green tartan cloth sprinkled with red and silver stars. White plates and red glasses, sparklers in the puddings. All done by Mitzkrieg <3. Best ever tree in the dining room this year - approx 7', no frantic chopping and balancing acts - everything this year was completely stress free, even the Briztol lot were on their best behaviour - kids distracted with the drumkit and table football set from last year. Humungous buffet for the Boxing Day visitors, which we're still (happily) living off and will be until the New Year.

Still to visit the Bradford rels but that will be nice. Apparently the niece has got a plug n play dance mat, so I'll be bustin' some moves this weekend! Off to see a big screen version of the Blue Planet tv thing tonight - it features a live orchestra and choir so should be spectacular. Then we got the Briztol boys staying over with us til the morning. Must buy Nurofen.
