I slept as soon as I got home yesterday so I am a little slo getting around on the net but I dig your place and your cool attitude. It was really great to meet you.
Its always good to meet good people like you. I hope that we get a chance to goof again.
The point with the 19th century (& 18th century I should say) anarchists when they said they wanted to destroy the world was that they wanted to destroy the deeply flawed social structures they were living in and start all over with a society based upon human love without all of the contracts, and coercion. They wanted to reboot human society.
They were a form of the romantic movement then and participated in the various revolutionary uprisings. And they believed that marriage was "ownership" of women and thus were against it.
Basically they were the first real punks.
Personally I fantasize about changing human society by "seducing" it instead of coercing it, changing its mind. I wish I could subvert society to be more in touch with its humanity, and give up more of its objectification of the various human "roles" (gender, race, categories of unlimited kinds), to give more attention to the personal emotions and drives of individuals irregardless of who they are.
Great art will not come from extraordinary competitiveness as much as from extraordinary awareness, I believe. So I try to practice pushing that envelope a little. At the same time its necessary to still fit into the dialogue of competitive society, and play the game, in order to practice this subversion.
Thats what I meant. Not blow up the world and kill all humans.
We live in a time when we are heavily subjected to persuasion by the media and we grow up programmed, so first and foremost the real enemy is within us.
I could go on and on...I've got to go to work dammit!
